WOW talk about love at first sight. Its funny how one meets your life time partner.
Dave and I met after about 3 messages on FSO. As we both live in the same area, we would car pool to the events together.
But there was a hitch to the story we were both involved with someone. Both were long distance relationships, so we became only friends and would just go out together.
Long story short, Our long distance relationship's ended and within 2 weeks we were in a relationship together.
3 weeks later we were in engaged and will be getting married on the 13th March 2010.

In March 2007 a cute man sent me a smile, a few messages later we meet, three weeks later engaged and today married.
Because of the details on the FindSomeone website, I knew that we had very similar values and morals and I knew he was just what I was looking for.
I would never have met my husband if it wasn't for the website.

| I just wanted to thank all at FindSomeone for having portrayed my profile, this isn?t so much about me finding someone on FSO but she found me and referred me back to match dot com via her own email address, but it was many thanks to FSO that this woman had the opportunity to have seen me on this site...six months of emailing, many phone calls, much money paid on overseas phone messages and finally a trip at Christmas time half way across the globe, over seven thousand miles away revealed the love I have been so desperately trying to find and now I have found her and we hit it off like a dream come true.....a message to all don't knock long distant relationships a patient man usually ends up getting what he wants, time reveals, once again many thanks to FSO and all its members. |
I met Dave back in April, after meeting a few guys - nice, but no spark. After emailing for a few weeks we decided to meet. I was pretty much instantly attracted to his gentle nature, humour, wit and intelligence... and it also helped that he was a bit dishy.
Since then everyday has been a happy one. After 4 months we moved in and now we are expecting our first baby.
He has shown me that there are actually good guys out there and I think that I have found my Prince!

I met Welshy about a month ago on FSO. I had just joined and he messaged me straight away. It was the first time i had ever used internet dating so I read his profile before messaging back! After reading his profile I instantly liked him! We messaged for days and then we spoke on the phone! I met him 2 weeks ago and it was love at first site for the both of us!
We are now together and working hard at a long distance relationship! This wont be for long as we are making plans to live together!

My fiance and I met through FindSomeone in June 2008 and met in person in July. I was kiwishell and he was cookiemuncher. We had a mutual interest in Coast to Coast, Mark having already competed and me preparing for my first event. We hit it off really well and despite me being constantly busy and Mark following me all around Canterbury with my sport we found time to get engaged on 20th December last year.
We are now preparing for our wedding next Saturday, 12th September.
We are both very grateful for FindSomeone giving us the opportunity to meet - in today's busy environment it is a brilliant service!

My partner was a solo dad with two kids when he was on here in 2005 at the time I had just joined and was babysitting a friends little boy who was sitting there telling me who to click saying yes no etc spak1 or spak (cant remember now) took his interest or maybe it was the children either way we sent a smiley.
We texted non stop for a week and after spending $80 each on credit we finally met that weekend!
We all got along great even the kids whom I adopted and and took under my wing. We now have two children together so 5 all up and are engaged due to be married in 2010 on the same day we met 5 years before.

If it wasn't for FSO the two of us might never have met.
After talking on FSO for awhile we then talked on the phone a few times. It was just like two old friends having a conversation even though we had never met face to face.
We then decided to meet at a cafe over coffee, (this was 30th November 2008) it was instant attraction for both of us.
7 Months later, on the 27th June 2009, David proposed to Colleen and made her the happiest lady on earth. We are very much in love with each other and look forward to our wedding day.

I had been signed up to this site for over a year, and had not made a lot of head-way, other than one brief relationship that really didn't have long-term potential. I was about to give up, and actually logged on to unsubscribe when I found a smiley face had just been left for me...
From the moment we read one another's profiles in September 2007 we were both convinced that we were onto something pretty special. David's profile was very funny - the last book he had read was "The White Pages" and in the comments section, he'd said "a bit monotonous".... He came across as very witty, intelligent and down to earth - and he loved kids (which given that I had 4 was pretty important).
We have seven gorgeous kids between us, which makes for plenty of fun and excitement (and the odd drama!). All the children were involved in the wedding party.
We were really lucky to win a $5000 wedding package through our local Classic Hits Radio station, which was a BIG help. Still, the wedding was very much what WE wanted - pretty laid-back and a lot of fun with friends and family joining us from all over the country.
So life is great, and were it not for FSO we'd never have met. So THANK YOU!!

In February 2006, I joined the site and spent a few weeks sending messages to interesting people, meeting some great people along the way but none were quite right for me to fall for. That was until She walked into the restuarant one evening. I was instantly attracted to her, a petite, stunning woman but also possessing a razor-sharp mind to match her good looks.
Not surprisingly, by the end of the night I was truely smitten. Only a few months later we had moved in together and in September last year I spent all night on the pavement outside a jeweller to be able to afford the right ring for her.
I proposed the next night, feeling heavily sleep-deprived (and smelling a little pungent as I had to go straight to work from the jewellers!) and had also blown my every cent on candles and roses - she joyously accepted and we are getting married next year.

On Oct 8th I think 2007, my man contacted me on FindSomeone.... we met a few days later, and have never spent a day apart.. we have had the best year and a half and just got engaged on Xmas eve this year. We are to be married March 2010. We have a great life, and great house... He loves my daughter, and she loves him. Thanks FindSomeone!! Never thought I would be an internet girl, but hey like my fiance said, never leave a stone unturned, and it worked for me.

I met my girlfriend via your site on Monday May 9, 2005.
On Saturday May 9, 2009 I proposed to her on the 88th floor of Melbourne's Eureka Tower; thankfully receiving a "yes" response. I am feeling totally euphoric and looking forward to an Aug 2009 wedding.

Hi,I met this kiwi man on your site back in 2007 sometime, anyway we kept in contact thru msn, I decided after a year of talking to this man on the net I better meet him.
So on, 30th june 2007 we meet, and have been together ever since,and are now planning our wedding.

I met a great man on your site we have been toegether now for 16mths and things just get better and better.
i was very nervous about this kind of meeting ,some one must say he was my 5th man to contact .
we now live toegether and are so happy.i am grateful every day that i met him,he has bought so much to my life.my family love him.

Kathy and I met trough the site and very quickly we started forming a strong bond.
We are so similar in so many ways that I have been called a male version of her by one of her daughters.
In well over a year there has not been any sh-t (sorry, best way to describe it) and we just love being together no matter what we are doing!
After a trip to Europe I came back and in the middle of the airport I went down on one knee and proposed to her with a ring brought from Holland.
She said "Yes yes yes!!", and the rest is history.
We have now been married 3 months and it is simply wonderful!

Six months ago I met someone very special through your website.
Two months later we moved in together.
Two months after that we were engaged.
We got married (you guessed it!) two months thereafter.
We are both so glad we found the courage to do something about being lonely and would encourage everybody else to do the same. It would have been so easy to sit back and moan about life but being proactive has literally changed our lives.

| Hi I joined FindSomeone in April 2007. I started communicating with a guy in Birregurram, Victoria in Australia. He came over to meet me in July 2007 and we remained good friends and carried on with emails etc until December 2007 when he came over. Our relationship moved on and now he has moved over to NZ to live with me. We are engaged and are getting married in January on the 24th 2009. Thanks heaps for finding my Mr Right. |
